New Galleries Posted: "Rainy Day" and "Colette Exclusive"

As evidence that I really have been working very hard to get all of the many photos I have to edit done, here are a couple of sets that I just finished up this morning if only so I can move on to the next! The first of these sets is the last of the Mother's Day series, pictures of the three of us on a lovely, rainy day in the front yard of Eric's dad's house where we are living for right now. On that particular day, we discovered just how very wonderful it is sometimes to have a prop for photo shoots, something for the model to play with so they don't start to feel overly self-conscious. Although, that's not much of a problem for us so much any more since we put ourselves in front of the camera more often than we'd really like to.

The second set of photos is a series of photos of Colette right after we did the Rainy Day photos. She was just laying on the bed and looking up at me in such a way that I could not resist taking photos of her. And I did promise a long time ago that we would do a Colette Exclusive shoot! So, I've also put up those photos for everyone to see. But really, they're just yet another way for me to show off my beautiful daughter!

It's really hard to choose my favorites from both of these shoots, so here are just a few of my favorites from each set:

New Gallery Posted: Maura (Mother's Day Series Continued)

Somehow I managed to catch a nasty head cold toward the end of my vacation that has hindered my ability to do anything outside of sleeping and staying conscious through a few episodes of Dexter. I think I probably caught it from Colette because she had a pretty nasty cold too, and she probably caught it from some other kids at preschool. These things just go around, and I'm going to have to get used to it whether I really want to or not. Damn kids!

Somehow during the past couple of days however, I was able to get some much needed editing done on yet another series of photos in the Mother's Day photos that I've been working on of my siblings. This series is of my youngest sister Maura who not too long ago had my now one-year-old niece Kiri. You wouldn't believe that it could be possible though just looking at Maura. She's teeny tiny (which just makes me sick considering it's an ongoing battle to even maintain my weight now let alone even consider losing weight!). Anyway, here are some of my favorites from this series of photos which you can also find in the Maura gallery:

New Gallery Posted: Zach and Lacey

The Mother's Day photos continue! Despite the fact that Mother's Day has now come and gone. It was however a most wonderful evening spent at my mom's and my grandmother's. We barbecued in the back and hung out until the sun had set and evening had set in.

This set of photos is of my oldest brother Zach and his fiance Lacey who will be married this August. They have been together for a very, very long time now, even bought themselves a house in Sandy recently, but still have not tied the knot. My brother proposed to Lacey not this last Christmas but the Christmas before at the downtown lights in Temple Square. This doesn't mean that either of them are religious though. It just means that they both like Christmas and the lights that come with it. It also means a tradition for them, but that's completely inconsequential :) Anyway, ever since my brother proposed, we have been waiting and waiting and waiting for them to set a date for their marriage and they finally did. About damn time is what a lot of us were saying when we finally heard that they had set a date.

Depending on what they think of these photos, we may be doing another series sometime soon for their engagement photos. Invitations do have to go out if they expect anyone to show up for the nice wedding they have planned! Regardless of whether they want to use one of these or not, here are some of my favorites of the Zach and Lacey series:

New Gallery Posted: John

So, I'm probably not going to have all of these photos done by Mother's Day obviously, but I will be putting them up one by one as I get each of them finished. On Wednesday this last week, we met up with my brother John, drove to Greenhouse (local coffee shop), ordered a couple coffees and powdered sugar crepes, and got to work. The setting was absolutely perfect, but I don't know how anyone could ever go wrong with a place like Greenhouse. It's just got so much personality despite the fact that it's changed owners since I started going there so many years ago (this is where Eric and I first met too in case anyone didn't already know!).

John acted so nonchalant about it all too for someone who is usually weary of being photographed, and just look at all these marvelous photos of him! Ladies, I think he's kinda sorta single too (haven't quite figured out the kinda sorta part, but I'm guessing that that means something), so if you're interested, just drop me a comment or two and I'll be happy to provide his SSN, home address, email address, phone number, and X-box information along with a complete background history. If some of the information provided turns out to be manufactured, well, I tried. It's not my responsibility, after all, to bring in the ladies for him. I just manipulate his natural good looks in my photography!

A "just kidding" would be appropriate now for the sake of my brother, but I believe he understands what it means to be a member of our family. It means something. Anyway, here are some of my favorite photos from our latest shoot with my brother John:
